The University of Delaware is seeking an experienced Energy Systems Engineer to support campuswide energy conservation, metering, and analytics initiatives. This role maintains and enhances UD’s energy metering infrastructure and enterprise energy‑management platforms, providing advanced technical expertise in field devices, communications, and software systems. The engineer conducts detailed energy audits; analyzes utility and building‑system data; develops conservation projects with documented savings and ROI; and prepares reports that drive strategic decision‑making and Green Revolving Fund investments. The position also leads the installation, operation, and optimization of electric, thermal, steam, and water metering systems; supports enterprise platforms such as PME, SkySpark, and Lutron; and collaborates closely with Building Automation and Facilities Engineering teams to improve building performance and reduce energy consumption.
