ASSiSTANT PROFESSOR (CONTINUING TRACK), DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS AND ASTRONOMY The Department of Physics and Astronomy (web.physics.udel.edu) in the College of Arts and Sciences seeks a Continuing Track (CT) faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor starting August 16, 2026. CT faculty positions are continuing, long-term positions, with responsibilities focused on teaching. The department is research active and values high quality instruction. Professional development of CT faculty is strongly supported by the department. Compensation packages are highly competitive. The minimum qualifications are a completed Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Physics, Astronomy, Physics Education, or a related field, and experience in teaching introductory physics classes to STEM majors. Expertise in pedagogical techniques informed by PER (Physics Education Research) is preferred. The mission of the Delaware Geological Survey (DGS) includes research, exploration and service. Statutory charges include the following: systematic investigation of the geology of Delaware; exploration and research pertaining to the water, mineral, and other earth resources; preparation of reports and maps presenting its findings; and provision of factual information and advice to the officials and citizens of Delaware. Under the general direction of a senior investigator, the Research Associate II will independently perform applied research related to the collection, organization, and dissemination of data resources related to the geology and hydrogeology of Delaware.

The Café Location Manager oversees all functions associated with the UDairy Creamery Café location. The café location manager is responsible for the oversight of both the operational and administrative functions of the UDairy Creamery Café; to include the production, marketing, sale and distribution of ice cream and other products at the UDairy Creamery Cafe facility, UD campus, and local events. The Café Location Manager is also responsible for assisting with the management and execution of catering events involving the UDairy Creamery Café.
