The Contracting Specialist will assist in analyzing and resolving research-related issues with the goal of developing solutions to comply with regulations and University policies and procedures. The Contracting Specialist addresses a wide spectrum of research-related issues associated with the University’s research enterprise by reviewing a multitude of agreements, evaluating intellectual property issues, staying current on research-related regulations, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and University policies, and interacting with research faculty and University of Delaware units.

The University of Delaware is seeking an experienced Energy Systems Engineer to support campuswide energy conservation, metering, and analytics initiatives. This role maintains and enhances UD’s energy metering infrastructure and enterprise energy‑management platforms, providing advanced technical expertise in field devices, communications, and software systems. The engineer conducts detailed energy audits; analyzes utility and building‑system data; develops conservation projects with documented savings and ROI; and prepares reports that drive strategic decision‑making and Green Revolving Fund investments. The position also leads the installation, operation, and optimization of electric, thermal, steam, and water metering systems; supports enterprise platforms such as PME, SkySpark, and Lutron; and collaborates closely with Building Automation and Facilities Engineering teams to improve building performance and reduce energy consumption. Ideal candidates bring strong engineering fundamentals, hands‑on experience with energy or controls systems, proficiency in data analytics, and a passion for advancing campus sustainability through measurable results.
