Kinesiology and Applied Physiology, Assistant Professor Continuing Track Faculty Position in Newark, DE
The Department of Kinesiology and Applied Physiology at the University of Delaware (https://sites.udel.edu/kaap/) is comprised of 25 faculty, approximately 750 undergraduate students pursuing a B.S. in Kinesiology, Human Physiology, or Sports Health, and 100 graduate students pursuing a M.S. in Exercise Science, a M.S. in Athletic Training, a M.S in Clinical Exercise Physiology, a Ph.D. in Biomechanics and Movement Sciences, or a Ph.D. in Applied Physiology. The Department values excellent teaching and student engagement, which enhances the University’s efforts to provide a supportive environment, cultivate belonging and foster teaching innovation, instructional technology, and course development. The Department of Kinesiology and Applied Physiology invites nominations and applications for a continuing track faculty position (assistant professor, non-tenure track, nine-month academic year appointment). We seek an innovative, dynamic faculty member to teach dissection based human anatomy, embryology and/or histology, in our new MS in Applied Human Anatomy program. Additional teaching opportunities may be available in departmental courses in the applicant’s area of expertise. Other responsibilities include student mentoring and service to the department, college, and university. A Doctoral degree in Anatomy or a closely related field and relevant teaching experience is required (ABD considered).

Nurse Practitioner in Newark, DE
The University of Delaware, College of Health Sciences academic health center, UD Health, offers comprehensive, interdisciplinary care to the community within the context of cutting-edge research and education. The UD Nurse Managed Primary Care Center offers primary care, chronic disease management, prevention and wellness services. The Nurse Practitioner will provide care to diverse clientele within and outside of the university community. The family nurse practitioner will collaborate with mental health, nutrition, exercise counseling, and other clinical partners on the team. The Nurse Practitioner will also provide clinical support for research studies and serve as a clinical preceptor for graduate and undergraduate students, both in the clinic setting and also for overseeing and teaching University of Delaware clinical and non-clinical graduate and undergraduate students. Position is full time. Typical business hours with the possibility of 11-7 on Wednesdays, or 7-3 on Tuesdays or Thursdays under the direction of the NMPCC Director.

The Department of Kinesiology and Applied Physiology invites nominations and applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor (nine-month academic year appointment) in biomechanics or a related field, with preferred research expertise in musculoskeletal modeling. The candidate must have strong potential to develop an innovative and extramurally funded research program that will complement the Department’s ongoing research areas, particularly in biomechanics and neuromotor control. A candidate’s ability to leverage existing research infrastructure and contribute to established campus research centers and programs is also a strength. The successful applicant will also contribute to the Department’s teaching efforts at the undergraduate and graduate level. The teaching load will be appropriate to allow the candidate to pursue and establish a rigorous research program.
